Serial number authorization key delphi 2005: What to do if you lose them

: Did you register the *correct* version? Seems odd, but this gave a lot of confusion in the past... i.e: which version did you download, Delphi 7 Personal or Delphi 6 Personal? The only way I could find to register was by clicking on www.borland.com/downloads/download_delphi.htmland then clicking on Delphi 2005 Personal. IT is not an exact fit because I don't have a disk for 2005. My sn and auth code for Delphi 6 did not work. Am I going to the wrong web site? I just reregistered and quickly got an automatic response but there is no sn or auth key. Am I going to the wrong web site?Oops! I found the website www.mariovaldez.net/webapps/blog/wp-content/uploads/2006/08/Delphi7PE_downloadsite.png and see there is a personal as well as the 2005 version. Thanks for the helpFollow Ups

Indeed. What's the point of hardware dependent licensing? Honest people willstay honest with a simple serial number. And if someone isn't going to be,it makes no difference whatsoever since the crack is exactly a google clickaway, no more or no less difficult than obtaining a serial. I think hardwarekeys just make it more challenging for hackers, if anything.

Besides being libelous, what you said doesn't make sense. One can find everycrack and patch that eliminates any protection scheme on the internet by asimple google search in about 10 seconds. How is inconveniencing law abidingcustomers make it harder for pirates? Maybe it takes a hacker 1 hour insteadof 5 minutes if you make the protection scheme as complicated and intrusiveas possible. But the end result is, after that delay of whopping 55 minutes, everything is out there anyway and makes not one iota of difference to thepirate who downloads it whether he enters a serial number or runs a patch tobypass registration.

I went through the registration process and it tells me> that my serial number has reached the maximum number of installs for> me (!!). (FTR: I've ran into the same problem you're having and had it resolvedvery quickly by a call to Borland).I'm not a big fan of these "keeping honest people honest" campaigns.Activation and forced registration systems /don't/ stop the realcriminals but only really penalize legitimate customers. Besides, italso creates an issue over the potential for Borland ever going out ofbusiness-- how would one activate then?Anyways.. here's hoping sanity returns someday, but I'm not holding mybreath.Will-- Want a 64-bit Delphi compiler for AMD64 / IA-32e? When it happens, I agree it is annoying, and as Derek pointed out, if it stops you from using your tools at a time when you have no way to immeditely contact Borland, it is much more than just annoying. The latter case needs to have some workaround, but the former case - well, if Borland sees the same serial number being registered many times, how are they supposed to know it is you repeating your legitimate install vs. copies being installed elsewhere? If you say you should be able to reregister unlimited times, then you're saying there should be no registration at all since it would amount to the same result. Given that *some* form of registration is reasonable, how many reregisters should be allowed before a red flag should go up? How many people do you think need to re-install that often? Again, IMO, the current level is reasonable.

KOHLER engine identification numbers (model, specification and serial) hold the keys to efficient repair, ordering the correct parts and engine replacement. These are printed on a silver decal, which is normally affixed to the blower housing of the engine. Make a note of your engine identification numbers in your owner's manual for handy reference.

When looking for the serial codes on GM vehicles, they are generally on one of the corners of the catalytic converter or stamped/etched on the main shield. GM is not known for many secondary shields, so we suggest getting some steel wool out to look for those numbers.

GM does a nice job of stamping the serial numbers on their Catalytic Converters. You can find them on the body of the Catalytic Converter either in the middle, top, side, or on the outer rim. An example of this is in the photo below this GM Catalytic Converter has the serial number: 25129701

After exchange operators are inserted, the result is a parallel-query execution plan. A parallel-query execution plan can use more than one worker thread. A serial execution plan, used by a non-parallel (serial) query, uses only one worker thread for its execution. The actual number of worker threads used by a parallel query is determined at query plan execution initialization and is determined by the complexity of the plan and the degree of parallelism.

Whether sufficient worker threads are available. Each query or index operation requires a certain number of worker threads to execute. Executing a parallel plan requires more worker threads than a serial plan, and the number of required worker threads increases with the degree of parallelism. When the worker thread requirement of the parallel plan for a specific degree of parallelism can't be satisfied, the SQL Server Database Engine decreases the degree of parallelism automatically or completely abandons the parallel plan in the specified workload context. It then executes the serial plan (one worker thread).

Whether there are a sufficient number of rows to process. If the Query Optimizer determines that the number of rows is too low, it doesn't introduce exchange operators to distribute the rows. Thus, the operators are executed serially. Executing the operators in a serial plan avoids scenarios when the startup, distribution, and coordination costs exceed the gains achieved by parallel operator execution.

At execution time, the SQL Server Database Engine determines whether the current system workload and configuration information previously described allow for parallel execution. If parallel execution is warranted, the SQL Server Database Engine determines the optimal number of worker threads and spreads the execution of the parallel plan across those worker threads. When a query or index operation starts executing on multiple worker threads for parallel execution, the same number of worker threads is used until the operation is completed. The SQL Server Database Engine re-examines the optimal number of worker thread decisions every time an execution plan is retrieved from the plan cache. For example, one execution of a query can result in the use of a serial plan, a later execution of the same query can result in a parallel plan using three worker threads, and a third execution can result in a parallel plan using four worker threads. 2ff7e9595c
